My brother is a great minecraft player and he wants to video some let’s plays and demos, but He does not know how to get a free web cam for doing minecraft. But neither him or I know how to get one or edit videos. I know a few of you are great youtubers and minecraft players, so could any of you help my brother out?

@9rainbowtails: You can get a free demo version of Bandicam that you can use for an infinite amount of time. That's all I really know because I'm not really too tech-savvy on the recording side of the spectrum.

Well, I personally use Bandicam. The demo is free, but you can only record 10 minutes at a time, so if he wants a 30 min video, he'll have to record 3 videos. Bandicam is the only free software I know of that records COMPUTER sounds. There are other FREE screen recorders, too. Example: SRecorder, UTipu, etc. I use Windows Movie Maker and YouTube Movie Maker to edit. If you decide on UTipu, you can use Windows Movie because it won't process correctly. Windows Movie is only for Windows 7 and 8, but I found a way for it to work on Windows 10. After download, go down to Search the web and Windows, and type in Movie. It'll pop up, and you can use it. There are more advanced Srecorders like Open Screen Broadcaster which he can do livestreams with.

I hope this helps a little~

@Silver Eevee: no i meant that it's not like other trial programs that you can only use for 30 days

it still can only record ten minutes

I just set up a video camera on a tripod and place it a few feet behind me whenever I want to film anything on a computer, and Xbox has the option to record short clips.
It all depends on what your brother prefers.
And if all else fails, he better hope you have a steady hand to hold the camera ;)

EDIT: IMovie works great for editing videos.
